Managing your supply chain during Christmas and New Year is crucial, especially if you’re looking to ensure the welfare of your livestock and the efficiency of your operations. To help you plan effectively, here are the key details for your vaccine and laboratory service needs moving into the festive period.
Last Call for Vaccines: Order by December 13
To guarantee delivery of vaccines before Christmas and New Year, it is essential for professionals in our industry to place orders before 12 PM on Friday, December 13. This cut-off date is dictated by our suppliers, who close during the festive season. If vaccinations are part of your operational protocols, this is a crucial timeline to adhere to to avoid delays in care for your birds.
Holiday Opening Hours
The operational hours for our Head Office and Dispensary during the holiday season are as follows:
- Christmas Eve: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
- Christmas Day: Closed
- Boxing Day: Closed
- Friday, December 27: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Monday, December 30: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
- Tuesday, December 31: 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM
- Wednesday, January 1: Closed
- Thursday, January 2: Open as normal (except in Scotland, which will resume on Friday, January 3)
These hours reflect a slight alteration from the usual schedules, so ensure you plan your visits or deliveries accordingly.
Important Laboratory Cut-offs and Services
Our Crabtree and Wem laboratories will continue accepting samples for various tests during the festive period. However, to ensure timely results, submissions should be sent on or before December 19. Anything arriving post-December 20 will not be processed until after the holiday break on December 30, potentially delaying critical testing for your poultry.
